It has been some time since I have updated the blog but it is winter, I think, going to be 60 degrees on Friday. I would like to announce a new addition to the MGC family, my wife gave birth to our 1st child Brynlee Grace on Valentine's Day. Danielle and Brynlee are home and everyone is doing very well. Thank you to the members that texted us, emailed us and posted on Facebook all the well wishes, the support was overwhelming.
We have removed all the trees that are to be removed on the golf course for the winter season. Due to the warm weather we still have logs remaining on the course as well as the stumps. Greenwood will be removing these once we get a cold snap in the weather. I will be putting some of the flags back on the greens for this week's warm weather so members can enjoy this blast of spring.
Our mechanic Mike has been hard at work doing winter maintenance on our equipment fleet. All of our utility carts have been serviced as well as the greens mowers, aerator, blower, and roller. Tee mowers, fairway mower, and the rough unit are next on the list. Mike will be attending the National Conference of Golf Course Superintendents next week in Las Vegas. He will be making the trip with Canoe Brook CC to attend seminars and walk the trade show floor. Since I am busy learning how to be a father, I will not be attending the conference this year so having Mike attending to gather information for me will be a huge help. We are very fortunate to have Mike's input and experience from working at Canoe Brook CC full time.
My Fleet maintenance software company likes this blog. Appreciate it that after winter you found time to manage your blogs and share your experiences with us.
